Selected for 2016 Hidden Faces - Victorian Salon des Refusés Exhbition

From 1989 to 1997 when our kids were growing up we owned a small house down at Rye. This contemporary collage reveals some of the fun we had as a family during those times .

A child begins his life. Amid the fear of the unfamiliar and threatening landscape he can choose to lead the sedentary, lazy life of the wombat, following the rocky path to the right or he can look up to the left and follow the hiker's view.....

This painting describes a juxtaposition of both natural and man made objects that reflect off each other yet work as one to create an unusual yet relaxed scene.

On a beautiful night in May 2006 we were cruising Lake Maggiore in Italy. I took this amazing shot at 8.15pm as the sun was setting and playing with our understanding of perspective and dimension. I HAD to paint it!!
